First of all, I've always had a great experience when doing business AT the Hudsonville building. The employees behind the counter are courteous, friendly, and helpful. That said, the ability for this office to deliver packages is simply atrocious. Failed deliveries for no apparent reason is a constant reality. It's probably a 60% chance that if I have a package that marked as "out for delivery" that it will actually end up being delivered that day.
They were very helpful locating my package and getting it to me quickly after I had put the wrong unit number in for my address. Thank you Patty!
This is the BEST post office. I stopped in or talked to them almost daily for five years for my job...we did a lot of shipping. Shawn and Jim are extremely friendly and will bend over backwards for their customers. Now that I no longer work in Hudsonville, I still contact them if I have questions because no other post office compares. Super friendly, helpful, and awesome!
I've gone in person to complain 8 times in the past 8 months that I've lived at my current address. Our lazy, dishonest mail carrier doesn't attempt delievery. They just leave pink slips multiple times saying "We're sorry we missed you!" I work from home. I KNOW no delievery was attempted.
Even with the multitude of holidays USPS employees get we still have multiple days every month that they don't pick up the mail at our offices. On top of that at least once a week our incoming mail ends up in one of the neighboring business's mailboxes.
I've also consistently had packages been misdelivered to the WRONG address (they deliver to a house with the same street number, but wrong street) this has happened 4 times so far.
Worse yet, their supervisors are unable to take any disciplinary action against them, because they are "unionized". Can't fire them for failing to do their job.
