This hotel is in drastic need of a facelift. Some staff were friendly, but had an employee get very short with me for coming down for breakfast "early." It's posted in my room from 6am to 10am, but outside the breakfast room it say 6:30... Get your information straight! Don't take it out on the guests. Besides that... hot tub jets do not work, pool needs to be cleaned, room smells like smoke, no exhaust fan in or near the bathroom and vending machine prices are stupid expensive. Update this facility, add on a restaurant/bar and hire positive people to manage your breakfast. Make the rate the guest pays more worth it.
Choice Hotel - choose elsewhere. Anywhere would probably be better than this. The grounds do not look at all as depicted on website. I usually take harsh negative reviews with a grain of salt but believe what you read about Hudsonville Quality Inn. Filthy, neglected, rundown. Mold in ice machine. Mold in bathrooms. Wallpaper dirty and falling off the walls. Dusty dirty filth everywhere. Next to nothing for AC and low fan output. Room too hot to sleep. So bad, afraid to look for bed bugs because no where else to go late Saturday night. No building security; keypads all disabled or broken. Phone service to desk intermittently operable per desk attendant. Depressing to subject myself to spending a sleepless night there. I don't know where they found people to write raving reviews. Read the one-star reviews on Trip and believe what you read!
The breakfast was satisfactory... The room was rundown. There was obvious water damage on the ceiling in the shower, and above the sink. Like the room above had a leak at some point. The staff was friendly. I would stay here again because it was so cheap.

Nice pool area. Carpeting and furniture are due for a change. The rooms air conditioner produced a smell like urine. At first thought it was the carpeting. Was given a new room that smelled the same way. Management was not at all apologetic. Rooms do not have a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Hot tub out of order. Coffee, terrible. $79 room for $114
