I showed her an image of exactly what I wanted beforehand, and made sure to explain every little detail about what I wanted. She claimed to understand, however, my hair came out looking like a disaster, and by the faces she made and complete lack of comments throughout, I could tell she agreed. There was a jagged line all the way around my head, to where you could see a very distinct change in color that was not blended at all. The color on top was darker than I asked, and the natural blonde I had asked to keep was so bleached and ashy that it had a gray tint to it, which she told me to buy a purple shampoo for.
This was previously sent in an email to the salon, but came back as an unavailable account.
I ended up having to dye my whole head a light brown after waiting about a week, because the thought of bleaching it after all of that was too risky to me, and I did not have the money. Since then, my hair has been very brittle and thinning by the day, and I have tried nearly everything I could find to bring it back to a healthy state again. I've needed a haircut again for weeks, and deep conditioners are not helping. Lastly, my roommate who had referred me had asked for Elle to give her blonde highlights, but they came out bright orange and she was not willing to fix it, so my roommate also had to fix her hair herself. I will not be returning or recommending services here ever again.
When I came back a week later, Michelle agreed that it was not what I had asked for and when I told her to tone the blonde, pull some blonde pieces up and pull some light brown down to blend it, she said "No, I will just do a highlight/lowlight to break it up." When I tried to tell her that was not what I wanted she decided to just go with it anyways. My hair came out in a million different colors, very blotchy, and I was absolutely appalled. Again, Michelle had nothing much to say when I informed her that it was "somewhat better, but not what I wanted." She recommended I either bleach it all & tone it, or dye it all a darker, more even color. I do not typically do much with my hair because I simply cannot afford it as a student, but this was a case where I had waited a long time to treat myself, and $120 is far above anything I have ever spent on cosmetic services.

I was recently serviced by hair xtraordinaire salon, after being referred by my roommate. I am a natural-born blonde, but through the years my roots have been growing in darker. I am a college student and typically go to local cosmetology schools to save money, but I have been waiting a very long time to spend more on a service I wanted professionally done. About a month ago was my original service, in which I came in for an ombre to help make my roots less obvious and blend them into my natural creamy yellow-blonde. I also included a haircut, and both were done by the younger Michelle for a total of $120, before the tip.
